BASECAMP STAVANGER

Southwest Norway, Within Reach Of One Local Team.

Preikestolen, Kjerag and Flørli are under two hours from Stavanger. Sogndalstrand, Jøssingfjord and Flekkefjord open up the coast south. Trolltunga and Bergen are close enough for us to plan the rest of the journey too.

FIVE OR SIX DAYS, NOT ONE

Stavanger is not a one-day stop.

Most guests picture one day near Stavanger — Preikestolen, maybe Kjerag, then on to the next Norwegian city. The real range is bigger: five or six days of private mountain, fjord and coastal experiences, run by one team, without changing hotels every night.

Not every one of those days has to be a mountain hike. If the big trails are not realistic for someone in the group, we build that day around the fjord, the coast or the food instead.

A spare day lets us swap the order around the forecast instead of the forecast deciding the trip for you.

Preikestolen in dense fog and Kjerag in extreme wind are both real days we have seen — reasons to build a plan that can move, not reasons to cancel.

THREE RINGS FROM STAVANGER

Same day. Extended day. Or a plan we build for you.

Basecamp Stavanger works in three rings, each with its own answer to who runs the day and how far it reaches.

  • Under 1.5 hours — Preikestolen, Kjerag, Flørli, Månafossen, Lysefjorden. Our own team, same day.
  • 1.5–2.5 hours — Sogndalstrand, Jøssingfjord, Åna-Sira, Flekkefjord, Egersund, RV44, Sirdal cycling. Still our own team.
  • 4–5 hours — Trolltunga, Folgefonna, Hardanger, Bergen, Voss, Odda. Planned and managed by us, delivered with partners we trust.

REAL GUESTS. REAL BASECAMP DAYS.

Nalida, Trev and Chels, and a group from South Korea.

Nalida had a private Preikestolen day, timed around her schedule. Trev and Chels got Preikestolen on a clear-weather window we picked for them. A group from South Korea, booked through their travel agent, went up to Kjeragbolten. Another basecamp day went by bike, on the route between Lysebotn and Sirdal.

The same applies to the guest stories across this site — real people, on real basecamp days, not staged travel photography.

How Many Days Should You Book?

Tell us who is travelling, when, and how they move. We will lay out a basecamp Stavanger plan with a weather day built in, not just a list of hikes.
